I started my health and wholeness journey nearly 15 years ago; having taught Zumba, Barre and bootcamp. But it was after a bought with severe anxiety I added yoga to my practice. While I was flourishing in my fitness journey, I had zero work/life balance because all I did was work. Not only that, but I have seen members of my community suffer from health issues, neglect themselves to work harder or take cake of their families, but never of themselves. Weathering has caused many to suffer needlessly.
In response I yearned to create a space of belonging where movement becomes medicine and strength flows naturally from within. Like many of you, I've walked the path of seeking wellness while staying true to my own beliefs. What has emerged is a practice that honors that unique journey. Here, we blend of classes, but each session weaves together: Mindful stretching that helps your body rediscover its natural mobility, Core work that builds a foundation of lasting strength and Breathwork to become more aware of the Spirit through which we move and have our very being.
Embodied is created to embrace, faith, joy, and wholeness as embodied beings created in the image of God. Our goal is to love and nourishment both body and soul. The deep restorative healing of breath coupled with prayer has been transformative for my life. I hope it will be the same for you.
